Your textbooks are organized to help you progress smoothly through the basic and advanced steps you need to master to succeed as an artist.
Studying where you can, when you can, has advantages. You don’t lose time traveling. There’s nobody telling you, “Time is up!”—you decide when time is up. You can work without distractions, at your own pace, on your own schedule. You needn’t rush to keep up with others, and can move on to the next lesson as soon as you’re ready, without having to wait for others to catch up. And you set up your work area so that it’s a comfortable place for you to work.

There are Home Projects and Assignments for each section of your course, which you send in to Famous Artists School for your instructor’s critique and evaluation. After completing the textbook study assignment, you complete the Lesson Assignment and then send your work to FAS in the mailer provided.
Your assignments are allocated to an Instructor who is a specialist in the area of art you are studying. Your instructor reviews your work and your student record, then creates drawings or paintings showing you how to improve your picture. Then, your instructor writes you a detailed letter, giving you personal guidance and encouragement. Your instructor gives your work and your needs his or her undivided attention when he is working with your assignment. You are truly “a Class of One.”
